multiflora rose is a perennial rose and blooms from May through July. It has a shrub and sprawling thicket growth habit that produce tall canes, and older plants may have very large thorns. Wild rose propagates itself via self-sowing seeds from rose hips and by vegetative rhizomes. It has white (sometimes pink) 5 petaled flowers that grow in bunches. The fruit of the Wild Rose is called 'hips' or 'rosehips', are red and stay on the bush all winter.

Habitat:

It that grows naturally in prairie lands, dry hills, sun-filled woods, roadsides, and ditches, but can also grow in your garden. It thrives in moist soil but can adapt to drier soil and periods of drought stress. It will live in a wide range of soil conditions including sandy soil, providing the soil is well-drained.
